What is Liberal Media Bias?

This is a complex question that I will not even try to answer in this space. Instead I would like to refer all interested parties to the group that I consider to be the authority on the subject. The Media Research Center is a resource that can give you a complete understanding on the subject.

How will the list of advertisers be calculated?

By adding up the total number of seconds the advertiser is purchasing for the network news broadcasts. At this time the broadcasts to be monitored are, ABC, CBS, CNBC and CNN.


Why target only the advertisers on television network news broadcasts?

The network news broadcasts are where most people get their information. They also draw a national audience as opposed to a local audience like newspapers and radio. Since this is a national organization, it is the best place to concentrate our initial efforts.

Once a large enough group has developed in a regional area that the local advertisers can be effectively influenced, we will assist in supporting the local members.

What about Liberal opinion shows?

These shows are not the prime source of information for most people. They are targeted at a dedicated audience of people with a similar viewpoint. I feel that concentrating on the news broadcasts will be more productive without overreaching our ability to be effective in the beginning.

This is one area that will remain open to discussion with the membership of this organization.

Do I need to join to participate?

No, all boycott lists and advertisers will be posted for download to any interested party. Joining will enable us to keep you updated as to any changes to the information offered.

Joining will also give you a voice in this organization. In the future all major decisions affecting the organization will be by a vote of the active members.

How much does this cost?

Membership is free. All participation will be voluntary, including myself. I do intend to add some links for merchandise that will hopefully provide enough income to cover the operating expenses. The only cost to you will be if you choose to help by sending letters. All stationary and postal costs will be by the member sending the letters.


What about emailing advertisers?

We will attempt to provide email addresses to the advertisers. However I do believe that a postal letter is much more difficult for the advertiser to ignore. This is because a  letter must be opened by someone and read to check its contents. However it only takes a few minutes to electronically scan incoming emails and delete them.
